Della has been experimenting with art for most of her life using various mediums and techniques, from sculpting and life casting to painting and designing. She is currently delving into “Rustification” transforming pre-loved items into original hand painted designer art and homewares.
Della was influenced by her beautiful late Grandmother Daisy May who had a flare for colour and interior design. Daisy May’s inspiration has filtered through the generations influencing Della and her other artistic family members.
Della has a love for nature and being in the outdoors, the earthy tones and natural effects achieved with the rusty iron, combined with sustainable creations makes for the perfect combination.
When Della is in her art room she is in her happy place and feels truly alive and filled with gratitude. Daisy May is a tribute to family, artistic therapy, and preserving past treasures.
